Cornbread Dressing
3/4 C Onion
1 1/4 C Celery
1 Stick Butter
Microwave covered on setting: 2 Cup fresh vegetables
Mix:
2 Boxes StoveTop Cornbread Dressing
Water Per each box’s instructions
1 stick Butter
1 Can Broth: Non-Fat Vegetable or Chicken broth–Swanson or Sweet Sue’s
Cook according to directions
In processor or by hand, Grind or break up until fine bread crumbs:
3 biscuits
2 croissants
1 to 1 ½ Pans of corn bread
Combine in large bowl:
2 Eggs–slightly beaten
StoveTop prepared dressing
Prepared Bread crumbs
Broth/Water/Butter: If mixture appears dry, add one of these as needed to improve moisture
Sage Optional: May want to add or may not. Depends on taste testing. Add only a little at a time if do.
Shape into patties or use cookie/ice cream scoop to form, and place on greased or oiled baking sheet.
Bake approximately 30 minutes in a 3500 F. Oven.
