Apple Butter Shirley
4 Quarts apple sauce
5 lbs. Sugar
1 pkg sure jell
8 tsp cinnamon
3 tsp all spice
1 ½ tsp nutmeg These are all heaping spoonfuls.
Mix all together and put in oven preheated to 225 for 5 ½ hours.
Stir three or four times.
If cool, can freeze in freezer bags.
Or if wish to can, heat jars, lids. Ladle hot apple butter into jars and seal.
