Cake Chocolate Sheath

Sheath Cake

2 c. sifted flour
2 c. sugar
3 to 4 T cocoa
1 C. Water
1 stick margarine
½ C. Shortening
1 t soda
½ C. Buttermilk
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 t cinnamon (optional)
1 t vanilla
Preheat oven to 350 to 400
Combine flour and sugar in a bowl.
In a medium saucepan, Combine cocoa, water, margarine and shortening. And bring to a rapid boil.
Add to flour mixture. Dissolve soda in buttermilk; add eggs, cinnamon and vanilla to batter. Mix well. Pour into greased floured sheet cake pan. Bake for 20 minutes +/-
Icing:
3 to 4 T cocoa
6 T milk
1 stick butter or shortening
1 box xxxx sugar
1 t vanilla
½ to 1 C chopped nuts.
Bring cocoa, milk and margarine to a boil. Add sugar and anilla and mix well. Add nuts. Spread on hot cake when removed from oven.
